Located on the eastern shore of the Okanagan Lake, mid-way between Penticton in the south and Vernon in the north, Kelowna is a vibrant city filled with activity. The expansive hills, mountains, and lakes provide residents with solitude in the form of world-class skiing, hiking, swimming, and boating. There are three major ski hills within a one hour drive - Big White, Silver Star, and Apex.
In addition to excellent outdoors activities, Kelowna also provides a range of arts and culture. Kelowna has been awarded the title of ‘Cultural Capital of Canada’ and boasts 4 museums, numerous art galleries, the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, ballet, community festivals and much more.
In addition to being a leisurely city, Kelowna is also a bustling marketing and distribution center. The city’s flourishing tree fruit industry and growing light industrial sector in joined by a fast emerging tech sector. As such, Kelowna is known for forestry, boats, plastics, fibreglass, body armour and oil-field equipment in addition to aerospace development, service and media.
